The Story Behind Our Logo!

By now you must have realized that SDA is on to something unique and ground-breaking in the ecosystem of product design automation tools. We begin where most design tools stop. We empower the user with goal-oriented, manufacturable and reliability-driven design flow. Our flow is rigorous yet specific for various categories of products using our patented design “Stacks.” Our flow is syncretic, holistic, multidisciplinary, specific and design-/manufacturing-/prototyping-centric that no other design platform offers. We fully understand the multidisciplinary interactions of design variables and have engineered the fastest approach to dealing with them in a design tool.

So here is how we approached the design of SDA’ logo. Since the dawn of human civilization, art has always flourished as the medium through which ideas, objects, concepts, stories, incidents, events, etc. can be abstracted and expressed. Complemented by various forms of art like paintings, sketches, icons, idols, statues, collages, etc., color has been one of the most important elements of art that took much longer to be appreciated and effectively used. It was through some remarkable accomplishments of late 19th and early 20th century that color finally found its rightful place in modern abstractions based on art. We drew our inspiration from the works of Robert Delaunay who not only well-understood the impact of using regular geometric elements in paintings but also made excellent use of colors to emphasize the combined effects of illumination and color.

The colors in our logo symbolize the multidisciplinary design elements. We chose the following colors to symbolize the various elements of a product design flow captured by SDA’ Stack Integrator and the design Stacks.

Orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow; represents enthusiasm, fascination, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation.

Red is an emotionally intense color, the color of fire and blood. It is associated with strength, energy, power, determination as well as passion.

Bright Blue: in almost all of the cultures worldwide, it is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes cleanliness, strength, dependability and coolness. Blue is the color of the sky and the sea, representing trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith and truth.

Green, symbolizing something new, it is the color of life, renewal, nature, and energy. It is associated with growth, harmony, freshness, safety and the environment. Green is also traditionally associated with money, finances and new opportunities.

Gray is a cool, neutral, and balanced color. It is formal, conservative, and sophisticated. The phrase “gray matter” refers to smarts, intelligence, brains, and the intellect.
